twitter open sources starling

From an email I just got from the Twitter folks:
Starling Goes Open Source
Twitter developed a distributed queue server to route vast numbers
of messages and we named it Starling. Last month, Starling was
released as open source. In addition to giving back to the open

dm-crypt attack based on reading RAM after quick reboot

I felt all responsible for having whole-disk encryption on my laptop, but sadly that’s defeatable:

Lessig for Congress

Do you like Larry Lessig? Of course you do! Did you know he might run for Congress? Did you know that he announced he’s considering a run just hours ago and he raised over $1000 in the past half hour via ActBlue? If you’d like to help bring some real change to Congress, I suggest [...]

dynastic politics

A coworker just said, “There’s been a Bush or a Clinton in the White House my entire life,” and it took me a moment to remember that H.W. Bush was VP when I was born. Suddenly I have a fresh understanding of my own support for Obama.
Can we please agree that Clinton is the candidate [...]

yes we can

I know I’m a little late with this, but… the cynic in me didn’t stand a chance against this video:
