As a terse summary, one may say that sense making is a continuous, social process in which individuals look  at elapsed events, bracket packets of experience, and select particular points of reference to weave patterns  of meaning. The result of sense making is an enacted or meaningful environment that is a reasonable and socially credible rendering of what is taking place. The central problem in sense making is how to reduce or resolve ambiguity and how to develop shared meanings so that the organization may act collectively (80).

Honestly, I understand this paragraph. I’ve read the material and I can regurgitate it in a contextual and meaningful way. Still, if I read it aloud, I can’t help but laugh. Seriously, WTF?
