old news catching up.

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=2082838&page=1
The above is from 15 June, but either didn’t make much of a splash or I was asleep. Perhaps it was the newsmedia flogging Zarqawi’s death that kept it from splashing.
Quick version: 74-page document detailing how to rebutt arguments that Iraq isn’t working gets emailed from the DOD to a bunch of Republicans and a [...]

vacuum clarification

I should mention that my cat’s hair matches the color of my carpet. That’s my only excuse, really. Also, 1/3 of the trashcan was a bit of an exageration. I looked again and realized that the bag didn’t go all the way to the bottom. It’s probably only 1/10 of the total volume of the [...]

vacuum

I vacuumed the apartment and was disgusted to find 1/3 of a tall kitchen trashcan worth of lint, dust and cat hair had been coating my carpets. Ugh. I won’t let 3 months go by before vacuuming again.

The Debian Release Cycle (or: Why We Should Have a Timetable for an Iraq Pullout)

Debian is renowned for the “when it’s ready” release cycle. Moan all you want, but it won’t be released until it’s really ready. This argument wouldn’t hold any water if it weren’t also true that Debian is remarkably stable, well-managed, versatile, broad, etc. etc. If the “ready” release were a pile of camel pucky, who [...]

The Impeach Bush/Cheney facebook group is at 106 members and counting. It’s been less than 24 hours since I sent out approximately 550 invitations. I’m still waiting on 413 responses.

Check it out:
Rage not productive
I direct this letter to the driver and passenger of the pickup truck who attempted to force us off the road on I-40 on Memorial Day. I presume by your action, as well as your hateful facial and vulgar finger expressions, that you took issue with my “Impeach Bush” bumper sticker.
Thank [...]

this is the opposition

From Danny Coles, a UNC student:
Hey Cristobal,
I mean this as politely as possible, but I’m not sure why you invited ME to join the impeach bush group. Maybe you should spend more time being thankful that you’re still alive because the terrorists are busy fighting us in Iraq and unable to attack us on american [...]
